Alpharetta Teachers attend GaETC

From Wednesday, November 4th through Friday, November 6th, teachers from AHS are attending the Georgia Educational Technology Conference at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta. There they will be taking part in learning sessions, workshops, and hands on training to further develop their ability to use technology in (and out) of the classroom. Sessions covered topics such as "60 apps in 60 minutes", "Gadgets", "Using Windows 10", "Chrome Extensions That Will Change Your Life", among many many others. There are numorous choices of sessions to go to in any given hour. In addition, there is also a ballroom filled with vendors displaying their products that schools can utilize to further reach their goal of becoming a blended, technology rich school.

With Alpharetta going to 1:1 devices with students, the attendees should be able to bring back a wealth of information to share with the administration and other teachers.

On a personal note, I've really enjoyed my time here so far. I'm only through part of day 1, and I've already come up with several ideas on ways to make my classroom more interactive. Look for many of the apps and tools that I've learned about to show up on the technology dump webpage for you to check out and see what you think you could use in your classrooms!
